    So, back in August it was announced that, with the exception of WA and SA, ALL State and Territory environmental departments required an operator to have a ReOC – EVEN IF they wanted to spray only over their own land (over 25kg).

    HOWEVER, as is often the case this has now seen a complete reversal! The various environmental agencies no longer require a ReOC for private operations on your own property.

    Sometimes it’s hard to keep up with what we need to advise people!

    Yes, definitely difficult to keep up with rule changes of the different regulatory authorities.

    When I looked into this topic a while back, Agriculture Victoria would allow the dispensation with regard to an ReOC, however, only if it was the actually owner of the land in control of the RPA.  You couldn’t have an employee of the company conduct the flights or an ReOC had to be in place.  In short, if wages were involved the dispensation was not on offer.
