As a rule, the use of drones in National Parks is prohibited without permission. However, there are now guidelines for aerial spraying for contractors engaged by the National Parks & Wildlife Service (NSW Government).
I’ve attached their new guide to this post for interested parties. There is a lot of land management happening in the National Parks and they are only just beginning to explore the use of drones, so it would be a great opportunity to be involved.
The guide covers all forms of aerial spraying, both manned and unmanned. Most of the content directed at drones use covers the basics such as CASA licensing and EPA credentials but there is some more in-depth generic content surrounding spray timing and spray drift management that might be of interest.
